Why is my outboard motor beeping or losing power?

  • Answer: Alarms or "limp mode" are usually caused by overheating, low oil pressure, or fuel system issues. At Stateline Boat Works, we use factory diagnostic software for Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Mercury, and Tohatsu to read your engine's fault codes, pinpoint the exact sensor or mechanical failure, and get you back to full power quickly.

How do I know if my outboard water pump needs to be replaced?

  • Answer: If you notice a weak "tell-tale" stream, fluctuating temperature gauges, or haven't serviced the impeller in over 2-3 seasons, it’s time for a water pump service. We provide full cooling system inspections in Warren, RI, to prevent major engine overheating and powerhead damage.
